A place built for the way you think.
Neuroversity is designed specifically for neurodivergent young adults who are ready to build a future in technology — on their own terms, at their own pace, with the right support.
Who Neuroversity is for
Neuroversity is a post-school technology education and employment ecosystem for neurodivergent young adults. We welcome students across a broad range of neurodivergent profiles — including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and other learning differences.
Neurodivergent young adults
Post-school individuals aged 18 and older who are ready to build real technology skills and pursue meaningful employment in the digital economy.
Students with different learning needs
Those who have found conventional tertiary education environments challenging — and who thrive in structured, supportive, and practically focused settings.
Individuals with digital interests
Young adults with a genuine interest in technology, programming, software development, AI, data, or digital skills — regardless of prior formal experience.
Those seeking independence
Students and families who want a clear, supported pathway from education to meaningful work and increasing economic independence.
Admissions
We welcome enquiries from prospective students and their families. Our admissions process is designed to be straightforward, supportive, and focused on finding the right fit for each individual.
Submit an enquiry
Complete our online enquiry form or contact us directly. Tell us a little about the student, their interests, and what they are hoping to achieve.
Initial conversation
We will arrange an informal conversation with the student and their family to understand their strengths, interests, and support needs.
Assessment and placement
We conduct a strengths-based assessment to identify the most appropriate programme level and learning pathway for each individual.
Enrolment
Once placement is confirmed, we guide the student and family through the enrolment process and prepare for a supported start.
Entry requirements
We believe in potential, not just prior performance. Our entry requirements are designed to be accessible while ensuring students are ready to engage meaningfully with the programme.
Minimum age
18 years or older at the time of enrolment.
Academic background
Grade 9 or equivalent as a minimum. Higher levels of prior education are welcome but not required.
Interest in technology
A genuine interest in technology, digital skills, or problem-solving. No prior coding or technical experience is necessary.
Readiness to learn
A willingness to engage with structured learning, practical projects, and supported development over time.
Neurodivergent profile
Students should have a confirmed or suspected neurodivergent profile. We work with families to understand individual needs and support requirements.
The student journey
From your first day to your first role — and beyond.
We begin by understanding each student as an individual — their strengths, interests, learning style, and career aspirations. No two students are the same.
Students build technology knowledge and digital skills through structured, practical, neurodivergent-friendly learning. We teach programming, software development, AI, data, and more.
Students work on real projects — building portfolios that demonstrate genuine capability to future employers and clients.
Through our consulting arm, students gain access to real client projects, work experience, and employment opportunities — supported every step of the way.
Graduates become economically active, skilled, and increasingly independent contributors to South Africa's digital economy.
Frequently asked questions
Does my child need a formal diagnosis to apply?
A formal diagnosis is not required to enquire or apply. We work with students across a range of neurodivergent profiles, including those who are self-identified or awaiting formal assessment. We will discuss individual needs during the admissions process.
What technology skills will students learn?
Our programmes cover programming, software development, game development, artificial intelligence, data skills, and broader digital literacy. The specific focus areas are tailored to each student's interests and strengths.
How is Neuroversity different from a special-needs school?
Neuroversity is a post-school technology education and employment ecosystem — not a school, therapy centre, or residential facility. We are focused on building real digital skills, professional capability, and employment pathways for neurodivergent young adults.
What support is available for students?
We provide structured learning environments, mentorship, and ongoing support tailored to individual needs. Our approach is strength-based and focused on building independence — not dependency.
Can students work on real projects?
Yes. Through our consulting arm, students have the opportunity to work on real technology projects for actual clients — building experience, portfolios, and professional confidence.
What happens after the programme?
Our goal is meaningful employment and increasing independence. We support graduates through our corporate inclusion partnerships, employment pathways, and ongoing mentorship.
